Infrastructure broadband memes

Recently, Republicans who voted against the 2021 Infrastructure bill have been trying to take credit for the funds and improvements that are accruing to their states. Here are graphics that spotlight the Republican senators who voted against the bill (those that are still in office), and note specifically how much their state will receive to improve broadband in poor, underserved, or rural communities. Feel free to use and share as you see fit!

The images are sized to fit in both Instagram and Facebook.

To download: click on image and select “Open image in new tab.” That image will be a jpg and can be downloaded. (Apologies for the extra step — we are wrestling with the in-built formatting and hope to make it more streamlined asap.)

  1. Hi! I posted this page on my newsletter this AM and a subscriber wrote back to tell me that the info on the Kentucky meme is inaccurate–1 trillion is significantly higher than what actually came in. Just curious if that was a one-off typo? I love this project but I want to be able to reassure my readers that your facts are well-sourced.

      1. No I found the same article. All good. I still can’t download the images, though. Has anyone else had this problem?

        1. Dang WordPress! I’ve created a temporary workaround while I try to discover where to change image settings. I’ve pasted the image URLs in the image captions, which at least lets you choose “Open in a new tab” when you right-click — which is then the jpg file and not the blasted .webp format. Apologies!!! I’ve put the instructions in each of the posts just above the gallery.
